We’ll also work with you to develop a customized strategy that aligns with your objectives.

What to expect:

  • During the consultation, we’ll take the time to get to know you and your unique situation. The consultation typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours.
  • To make the most of our time together, we’ll ask you to complete a client information form ahead of time so that we can focus on your most pressing legal issues during the consultation.
  • There is a fee for the initial consultation, payable in advance.

How It Works

01

Schedule an initial consultation

To get started, schedule an initial consultation.

You’ll be asked to complete a client information form beforehand so that we can focus on your most pressing concerns during the meeting.

The consultation typically takes 60-90 minutes and we’ll use this time to discuss your situation, your goals, and develop a personalized strategy that is right for you.

We will also help you understand the options available for your specific case.

02

Working on your case

Once we have developed a strategy, we will begin implementing it to move your case towards a resolution.

This can include preparing your financial information, reviewing information from the other party, negotiating with the other party, and drafting necessary documents.

Along the way, we’ll keep you informed about the progress of your matter and you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your case.

03

The results

This stage can include finalizing your agreement in a legally binding document or obtaining a final decision from a judge if you are in court.

We will ensure that you understand the outcome of your case and any next steps.

Full Legal Representation

With full legal representation, we'll act on your behalf throughout the entire legal process. We require an agreed-upon retainer fee upfront which will serve as an initial deposit for future services and will be held and applied to your invoices. You are required to top up the retainer so that we always have money in trust for your case. The retainer amount depends on the complexity of your case, and we will discuss this with you in detail before commencing our work together.

Limited Scope (Unbundled Services)

If you prefer to represent yourself, a limited scope retainer may be a better option for you. For example, if you only require independent legal advice or need a specific document drafted, we can assist you with limited scope services.

Flat Fees

We offer some services for a flat fee, such as uncontested divorce or a foreign divorce opinion letter. We will always discuss fees and hourly rates in detail before commencing our work together, so you know exactly what to expect.
